Your vision is the big picture. It describes where you're going and what success looks like 10 years from now.
A vision isn't a revenue target on a spreadsheet. It's a picture of the future that pulls people forward. When your team can see where you're headed, they can see themselves in that future.
Why 10 Years?
Ten years is long enough to think big and specific enough to be actionable. It forces you to imagine a company that's fundamentally different from where you are today, while still being grounded in reality.
A strong 10-year vision creates a ladder. People can see the next step for them, even if it's not promised. When the vision is real, you can talk about future roles, future leaders, future specialists. That creates retention.
A vision that's just numbers won't pull anyone forward. It has to describe a future that's better for customers and better for employees, and it has to feel achievable.

To start, navigate to Vision + Mission in the left sidebar, then click Define Your Vision.
What Lana Will Ask You
The workflow covers everything that shapes a complete vision:
Reputation: What do you want your company to be known for in 10 years?

Ideal Clients: Who are your dream clients, and where do they live?
Revenue: What's your target annual revenue?

Rolling Out Your Vision
Casting a big vision can scare people, especially if it's the first time you've said out loud that you want to scale from $2 million to $10 million. If people look reluctant, don't assume they're negative. It might be fear and uncertainty.
Start by explaining what it's for: The vision shows where we're headed over the next 10 years. Be clear about why you're doing it. The point is to create more opportunity for everybody in the business, not just to chase a number.
Your job is to explain how that vision becomes reality. Connect the big picture to what it means for them: more roles, more growth paths, more opportunity. When people see themselves in the future you're describing, they'll help you build it.
Saving and Updating
Once you've completed the workflow, your vision saves to the Vision + Mission section where your team can view it. It also becomes part of Lana's context, informing everything else she helps you build.
Visions evolve. You're not locked in. Come back and refine it as your thinking develops or circumstances change. The point isn't to predict the future perfectly. It's to have a clear direction that guides decisions today.
