Your First 15 Minutes

This guide gets you from zero to your first real value with LeanScaper AI. By the end, you'll have experienced the core workflow: bring a real problem, get real help, and see how the system learns from your business.

Before You Start

You'll need:

  • A LeanScaper AI account (create a free accountarrow-up-right if you don't have one)

  • 15 minutes of uninterrupted time

  • Something you actually want help with: a question, a document to write, a problem to think through

Quick Tips Before You Start

chevron-rightOne account per companyhashtag

When you sign up, you're creating your company's account. Don't have each team member create their own. Set up the company account first, then invite your team from Settings > Team. This keeps everything connected: LeanDocs, boards, agents, and the AI's understanding of your business.

Before rolling out to your team, go to Settings > Company and make sure your company name, website, divisions, and business software are correct. This information shapes everything the AI does. Each team member should also update their job title and manager in Settings > Profile. See Building Your Company Brain for details.

This works best when you bring a real challenge, not a test question. The goal is to walk away with something useful, not just to see how the software works.

The Quickstart

1

Complete the Welcome Experience

When you first log in, Lana walks you through a brief introduction. Don't skip this.

She'll ask about your business, what challenges you're facing, and what you're hoping to accomplish. Your answers help her understand your context from the start.

Be specific when Lana asks about your challenges. "I waste too much time chasing down what my crews need" gives her more to work with than "operations stuff."

2

Ask Lana Something Real

After the welcome experience, you're in the main chat interface. Now ask Lana something you actually need help with.

Good first questions:

  • "Help me write an email to a client about a project delay"

  • "What should I include in a crew leader job description?"

  • "Give me a checklist for spring startup"

  • "How should I handle a customer complaint about a missed service?"

Lana responds based on general landscaping and business knowledge. This is her baseline intelligence before she knows anything specific about your company.

3

Try Voice Input

If you're on mobile, or your computer has a microphone, try talking instead of typing.

Tap or click the microphone icon and speak your question. Lana transcribes and responds just like a typed message.

Voice input is especially useful when you're in the field, on a job site, or just prefer talking over typing.

4

Create Your First LeanDoc

Here's where things get interesting. Ask Lana to help you create a document for your business.

Try something like:

  • "Help me write a job description for a crew leader position"

  • "Create a checklist for daily truck inspections"

  • "Write a template for following up with clients after a project"

  • "Draft an email template for weather delay notifications"

Work with Lana to refine it. When you're happy with the result, save it as a LeanDoc. Now that knowledge lives in your system, available to you and your team.

LeanScaper OS: Every LeanDoc you create becomes part of the AI's understanding of your business. You're not just creating a document. You're building a system that knows how your company operates.

Want to create an SOP? Head over to the SOP Agent for guided help building standard operating procedures.

5

See the Difference

Ask Lana something related to the LeanDoc you just created. Compare her answer now to what you'd get from a generic AI tool.

This is the core loop: the more context you give LeanScaper AI, the more specific and useful the help becomes.

Your business knowledge, now part of the system, scales to everyone on your team.

Go Deeper: Try a Specialist Agent

Want to see what specialist agents can do?

Head over to the CMO Agent and try the prompt: "How can I improve my website?"

The CMO Agent brings marketing expertise to your specific situation. It's a good example of how specialist agents provide focused, functional guidance beyond general conversation with Lana.

Invite Your Team

LeanScaper AI includes unlimited seats on every plan. Your whole team can use this: owners, office staff, crew leads, everyone.

Go to Settings > Team to add team members. The more people using the system, the more value you get from huddles, field requests, and shared knowledge.

What You Just Did

In 15 minutes, you:

  1. Introduced yourself to Lana and shared context about your business

  2. Got real help on a real question

  3. Tried voice input

  4. Created a LeanDoc that now lives in your system

  5. Experienced how LeanScaper AI gets smarter with your content

Everything else builds on this loop: bring real work, add context, get better results. The more you use it, the more it knows. The more it knows, the more it helps.
